Moose-tacular

What do most people think of when they hear about New Hampshire: Moose (Or maybe just trees, it’s still a toss-up). With all of the outdoor activities I do, finding a store that gives me plenty of options for retail therapy is important *que REI Bedford*. A new location happened to be opening close to where I was from and the marketing team continues to make efforts to work with local creative when a new location opens.

They wanted something that was pretty universal to this area, a graphic that mountain people and ocean people could get behind. The wheels started turning and out came a fun moose with binoculars admiring both the mountains of the north and the sea-scapes of the small but mighty coastline. Limited to one-color printing, I decided to use duotone patterns to shade & give depth to areas of the illustration instead of using ‘heavy’ solid color. This graphic landed on a top-notch Yeti insulated mug and was given out as a thank you for attending the opening day yard party.

They may be iconic, but damn they are good at hide & seek.
